Swimming Instructor and Swimming Assistant
1. Head Swim Instructor Qualifications required, at a minimum, are a current Instructors Certificate through the Lifesaving Society and a National Lifeguard Society Certificate. Applicants should be energetic, creative and passionate about children. The ideal candidate will be a great leader, work well as a team and require minimal supervision. The salary range for this position starts at $13 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
2. Assistant Swim Instructor Qualification required, at a minimum, is a current Assistant Water Safety Instructor Certificate through the Lifesaving Society. Applicants should be energetic, creative and passionate about children. The ideal candidate will be dependable, take direction well and possess a willingness to learn. The salary range for this position starts at $11 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
HLCA Hall Cleaning Team
The HLCA board requires two or more individuals who will perform custodial work at the HLCA Church-Hall starting (TBD) – (TBD). Reporting to the Director of Hall Maintenance, this team will be required to do basic hall cleaning (see description of duties below), a minimum of 4 hours per week. Additional cleaning may be booked if needed. Candidates must be at least 13 years of age. The salary for each position is $10.00 per hour.
Description of Duties:
sweep and wet mop ALL flooring weekly
clean and stock the bathroom with supplies weekly
wash all windows inside and out at the beginning of the summer
wipe the table tops with disinfectant solution weekly
collect garbage and recycling, bag and place inside door weekly
clean the kitchen and fridge weekly
cleaning supplies will be provided
HLCA Grass Cutting
The HLCA board requires an individual with their own equipment who will perform grass cutting/trimming at the HLCA Church-Hall and the Public beach starting (TBD) to (TBD). Reporting to the Director of Hall Maintenance, this person will be required to do grass cutting and trimming at both locations a minimum of every other week. More frequent cutting may be necessary in heavy growth periods. The Public Beach must be cut and trimmed before Fireworks and Regatta.
Salary is to be finalized at time of hiring and will be based on last year’s budget.
